I am so in love with this palette from Club Monaco's 2011 Fall Collection. The earthy tones mixed with rich reds and browns will be so perfect for when the leaves change color.

Today was a late kind of day. Left the house to look for information about wine at the reference library but sadly came home empty handed.

I picked up a cappuccino to make things a little better, and as I walk into my street, I noticed a little something sitting on a ledge.

Sorry in advance for the quality of the photo, but I'll make it up to you with the quality of the subject, aha!

Indeed that is a baby squirrel. I kept the little guy company for a bit. Or maybe he kept me company. Thought of helping him out, but sometimes I think they're a little stronger than we think of them, and thrive better on their own. Anyhow, because of him, I got to meet a few of my neighbors that I've never spoken to before. Big thanks for bringing us together little booger.

Spent a wonderful morning with my good friend Trish at a local Starbucks - full of stories, music exchanges, revisiting photography, and talks about our future. The both of us are attending our 4th year in university, so you can imagine how that's like. Mornings like these are a necessity!

So apparently I also write, much thanks to an awesome creative writing class that I had the opportunity in taking over the summer. Something small for you to spare a minute to.

the nights that i cannot sleep, i spend thinking homes that i’ve never lived in, places i’ve never been to, and lovers that i forgot to love deeply.

i can sometimes feel the warm breeze from these worlds, throwing back my hair into gentle knots. and the faint smell of cut bread waiting on someone’s dining table - it’s mild sweetness knocking me to my knees.

no, this isn’t desire at all. it is something that comes naturally, without control, stripped of all reasons, of all expectations.

during these times, i let things unfold as they are supposed to. these are times at their purest.

Daily Inspiration: Ricor

I've been in and around photography. But as always, it's difficult to find time to do everything, which is why I've always admired those who can really live what they do.

I discovered Ricor, a photographer from Taiwan sometime last year through flickr. I still haven't been able to let go of the silence in his photographs. It's like holding in your breath for as long as you possibly can, and letting out the greatest sigh.

I was recently introduced to an online fashion store from Tokyo, zozo. I've never been a huge fan of these websites as they tend to be overcrowded with images and flashing advertisements, but the minimalism in the photographs have always appealed to me. Here are a few favorites from their website:
